We’re so honored to learn that our Gravenstein cider was named Best-of-Class cider at GLINTCAP! Greater Lakes International Cider Competition. (GLINTCAP) is the most prestigious and largest international cider competition in the nation.
This year the Gravenstein Cider has also won a Good Food award, and two gold medals from the largest wine competitions (San Francisco Chronicle International Wine Competition and the North Coast Wine Competition.)
Cidermakers send in the best they make to be evaluated by about trained judging panels over the course of three cider tasting days. Judges use an official rating system to identify the best in a flight. Then the top three of each are advance to the Gold round. Then the top of the Gold round are judged to find the best ciders in each class for the Best of Class cider award!
